RIP Georgie Grace D.

If y'all read the post 2 posts down about vacation y'all will know that I got a little Betta fish. Her name was Georgie Grace, she was blog with dark blue stripes (she was SO pretty!!) Today I had her for one week, but on this week anniversary she was killed. My little sisters fish (Abby) killed her :( I just hope she didn't suffer long. So I got home and Mama Daddy and My big sister were crowded around the fish tank. I was greeted by "Emma, we have bad news". So I put her in a little box and carried her out to one of my favorite trees to sit in (especially when I am sad) and we barried her there.

  2. Aw I am so sorry! :( I remember when my beta fish lived 3 years! She lived a long time. She saw her reflection and thought it was another fish, so she ran into the glass/wall of the tank.:(

  5. I always thought you could could house two Betta fish together until I was in fourth grade and got one. It lived for two and a half years, got sick, and then died during a power outage. I wasn't even there either! I was on vacation and I had left it at a friends house to take care of it. I knew it had been sick, but I didn't think it was gonna die so fast! But it did, and I buried it because they froze his body so I could take home home. RIP Willow!

  6. Aw, I hate it when fish die. I hope you feel better soon. :/

Also, did you ever email Erin so she could mail you your prize from BookishCharm? You probably did, but I just wondered. :D

  7. Awww! So sad!

But, sadly not uncommon for Beta Fish. They are called 'Chinese Fighting Fish' for a reason. :-/ We have never been successful in keeping two Betas. Even when a male and Female are paired, the male ends up killing his tank mate. :-/
