Do any of you have trouble coming out of there comfort zone when witnessing to people? I sure do! A while back I started trying to say "God Bless You!" To people who helped at a checkout counter etc. but I kinda quit doing it... Ray Comfort put it this way about witnessing...
If there were 2 children playing under an elevator and they were about to be crushed, what would we do? Would we say oh there strangers, I'm not going to help them or Oh well they look like there having fun. NO we would go pull them out!
That is the way with Christianity, They may be having fun, or be strangers, but who would want them to go to hell.
I feel so blessed to be born into a Christian family. I will be a Christian for 5 years this November. I remember the day it happened. I was practicing a song with the pastors wife and a friend and I had a solo. It went "When I am week you make me strong, when I am blind you shine your light on me, 'cause I'll never get by living on my own ability" and it hit me. I had to keep the tears back and as soon as the song was over I went to the bathroom to pray. When I got home Mama and Mrs Peeta talked FOREVER ;) That is what it felt like, but after that we talked (and cried) and I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior.
Do any of y'all remember that moment? How happy you were? I want to be like that. Like a new Christian. Someone excited about there faith. So I am going to start on this blog telling people about Jesus then I will move on to bigger things (like the reel world ;). If any of you have questions about all this feel free to comment or to email me at EmmaMargaret1999(at)gmail(dot)com
Have a great day!

I remember my moment, for sure. And even thought EVERYONE has ups and downs, and sometimes we get a little snippy with God and think He doesn't know what He's up to, I still have that giddy-joy feeling whenever I read my Bible. <3
ReplyDeleteLove Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron's TV show, "Way of the Master". So enjoyable to watch, and we learn so much from it. We went through the series with our youth group here in China. Six years of different studies, and we all agree that Way of the Master is by far the most helpful program we've gone through.
